Daily Face Wash

INGREDIENTS: 1 tsp. sweet almond oil + 2/3 cup unscented Dr. Bonner’s castile soap + 20 drops ylang ylang essential oil + 12 drops each patchouli, frankincense & lavender essential oils  + 8 drops lemongrass essential oil + 6 drops myrrh essential oil (for dry skin) + 1 tsp. argan oil + 8 oz. foaming soap container

PREPARATION: Pour the castile soap and sweet almond oil into a foaming soap dispenser (it is critical to use a foaming dispenser if you want to achieve the right consistency). Add essential oils and gently swirl to combine. Top with distilled water.

APPLICATION: Use daily morning and night. 

Tip: You can also use this as a hand soap, using your favorite essential oils. It’s easy and more economical than buying organic hand soap.

Face Toner

INGREDIENTS: 10 drops Frankincense (or elemi) essential oil + 10 drops ylang ylang essential oil + 10 drops lavender essential oil + 8 drops patchouli essential oil + Rosehip oil (carrier oil) + Argan oil (carrier oil) + Marula oil (carrier oil)

PREPARATION: Drop essential oils into bottle. Add aloe vera and alcohol. Fill the remainder of the bottle with witch

APPLICATION: Use daily morning and night. 

Face Serum

INGREDIENTS: 10 drops Frankincense (or elemi) essential oil + 10 drops ylang ylang essential oil + 10 drops lavender essential oil + 8 drops patchouli essential oil + 10 drops manuka essential oil (optional) + 5 drops myrrh essential oil (optional) + Rosehip oil (carrier oil) + Argan oil (carrier oil) + Marula oil (carrier oil) + 5 drops vegetable glycerin (optional)

PREPARATION: Drop essential oils into bottle. Fill the remainder of the bottle with equal parts rosehip oil + argan oil + marula oil

APPLICATION: Apply to face, morning and night, before applying moisturizer.  

Facial Moisturizer

INGREDIENTS: 10 drops frankincense essential oil + 10 drops lavender essential oil + 10 drops geranium essential oil (optional) + 1/4 cup raw shea butter + 1/2 cup cold-pressed, organic coconut oil + 1 tsp. sweet almond oil (optional) + 1 tsp. jojoba oil (optional) +  4 oz. glass jar

PREPARATION: In a double boiler over medium heat, melt the coconut oil and shea butter. Once liquefied, remove from the and let cool. Add in the essential oils, sweet almond oil, and jojoba oils and put the cream in the refrigerator to bring back to a solid state. Before mixing,  let it set out at room temperature to slightly soften, making it easier to work with. Using an electric mixer, whip until light and fluffy. Using a wood spoon transfer body butter into container.

APPLICATION: Use liberally, morning and night.

Experiment with essential oils and carrier oils that are right for your skin type. Try 10 drops of rose, patchouli or ylang ylang essential oils, in addition to the ones listed above.
